Also, I ended up dropping that awful painting class because the teacher pretty much refused to help me. He just laughs "You're so funny"
What's so funny about desperately asking for help with using paints?
Also, Butcher paper is used for wrapping, not for practicing painting technique. I am going to learn painting on my own rather than suffer through a poorly taught class.

When I went to talk to him about how I felt with my so-called progress, I felt as if he were degrading me, comparing me to a student who is currently failing. This student's work exhibits no sense of depth, line, form, ect... and my teacher told me flat-out that I was 'headed that direction with my painting.' Suddenly I will lose all my experience in art? No way.
He didn't help me at all, and in class he tells me to use sophisticated colours, like grayish violet with deco orange. Yucko. Combining all these vomit-colours is basically what he wants, and I wasn't doing that, I was 'drawing'.
Eh, I could go on and on.... From now on at that school my 'art class' will be in Zoology where I draw what I observe through the microscope, or in the Planetarium to draw the skulls and fossils. I will take up painting on my own.
